Frequently Asked Questions...

Q: Can I change the skirts on a Bronzeye Frog and how do I do it?
A: Yes, you can change out the legs on a Bronzeye Frog. Pull the old legs out. Take a small wire. Thread it through both openings where the old legs were. Lay your new material onto the wire that is already threaded through the legs. You should be able to get "living rubber" or spinnerbait or jig skirt material at any tackle store. Bend the wire with some pliers so it holds the the new material in place. Make sure the wire bend is very small and the the extra wire is bent in so that it will go back through the leg holes. Simply pull the wire back through the legs and the new material should flow right into place. It helps to coat the old and new material with some sort of lubricant to make it slide through the small holes. Fish attractant, Reel Magic or other line spray, or even water will help to make the material slide through. Just make sure to wash off the lubricant.

Q: What type of line and what type of rod and reel do you use when fishing the 6 or 8 inch SPRO BBZ1 Swimbaits?
A: Bill uses his signature custom-designed 8-foot heavy action rod (produced by Lamiglas), a Shimano Calcutta 400 because of its line capacity and strength, and 25-pound Maxima monofilament.

Q:Are there any prostaff positions available? How do I get on prostaff?
A: This is one of the most frequently asked questions to all tackle manufactures. Presently, our prostaff is full, and we even have a waiting list. SPRO's prostaff consists of some of the world's most knowledgeable anglers. This prostaff allows SPRO to research, test, market and as a result of all of this offer our customers the finest fishing lures available.
